The italian company Amut Dolci Bielloni has studied a line to achieve an extreme tight gauge tolerance. On some kind of products the gauge tolerance is below 2%. A better tolerance means more meters of film and better quality of roll that can be printed and converted at higher speed. The control system is done through some micro motors which control the air outlet and adjust the thickness profile. without trimming the edges with considerable saving in energy and scrap. All the start-up procedures and all the recipes can be stored in the main work-station of the line and can be repeated in order to help the operator to speed up the procedures and minimize the scrap. Due to the precision of the controls and to the way the line has been designed, the customer can rewind perfect rolls on the fully automatic rewinder without trimming the edges with considerable saving in energy and scrap. The energy consumption is below 0.30 Kw per Kg of production. The output of the line can easily reach 600 Kg/hour in continuous production. The line can produce a 2 meters wide (80”) of lay-flat.
