Today the process requirements are driving more and more frequently towards the recycling, processing and exploitation of materials with a high degree of contamination and moisture, as in the case of strongly printed products.
Moisture removal
The double degassing systems of Tecnova are able to remove moisture up to values of 7-8%, which can rise up to 10% thanks to the new degassing system developed and called VTS (Vacuum Twin Stuffer). As part of a constant research aimed at continuous improvement of single-screw extrusion lines, it has been developed the natural degassing VTS system with automatic restore of the melted material; this component is able to double the capacity of the lines, both single and double vent, processing material with high moisture content.
This results in a proportional increase of the hourly productivity of the lines with equal amounts of material being processed. With these solutions, it is therefore possible to remove a 8 – 10% of moisture.
Development of new solutions
The Tecnova technologies have been strengthened over the years, following the evolution of the market and customers’ requirements: on one hand the need to process more and more contaminated materials and on the other to obtain a product that can be used in a convenient and competitive way to manufacture new products.
Another critical issue is also the fact that many companies, optimizing their internal processes, are able to reuse internally the recycled material less contaminated.
