From food safety to pharmaceutical research, from quality control to environmental analysis, the laboratory today represents one of the strategic hubs of industrial innovation. A place where technology, research and expertise come together to shape the processes and products of the future.
It is with this vision that Labotec returns to Fiere di Parma on 27 and 28 October 2026, with the aim of bringing companies, research, universities and laboratory professionals together on a single exhibition and conference platform. To date, numerous exhibitors from the previous 2025 edition, as well as new companies, have confirmed their participation, bearing witness to the growing interest in this event, capable of creating connections, opportunities for professional updating, networking and knowledge transfer.
In the 2026 edition, Labotec is also recording a significant increase in pre-registered visitors, +20%, and is strengthening its international dimension with the aim of further increasing the quality of relationships and business opportunities, offering exhibitors a qualified context in which to engage with counterparts from the most strategic markets.
Taking stock of Labotec’s growth path is Fabio Bettio, Director of Labotec, who stated: “When we imagined Labotec, we were convinced that the market needed an event capable of bringing together the world of laboratories, research and analysis on a single platform. The response obtained from the very first edition and the interest we are recording for 2026 confirm that this intuition was correct and that the market has appreciated and supported this project. We will continue to invest in the growth of Labotec, with the ambition of consolidating it as the Italian reference point for the sector and as a privileged meeting place between technological innovation, scientific research and the business world”.
Among the main new features of the 2026 edition, in collaboration with LabWorld.it, the Demo Area will make its debut: a real laboratory reconstructed inside the event, where instruments and technologies will be used in real time through practical demonstrations and operational simulations. An immersive space that will allow visitors to observe up close how the most innovative solutions work and how they are used in different industrial and scientific applications.
The programme will also be enriched by the return of the LabWorld Arena, which, with the support of LabWorld.it, will offer a structured calendar of meetings dedicated to the latest technological developments in the sector. Through the presentation of innovations developed by exhibitors and outstanding case histories, the arena will provide an opportunity for discussion on emerging trends and the solutions that are transforming the food industry.
Alongside this, the Science Area, developed in collaboration with LabWorld.it, will be the meeting point between research and industry, involving the most important organisations, institutions, universities, research centres and national and international bodies. The Area will give space to the presentation of the most advanced research activities, the latest technological developments and their concrete applications in production processes, highlighting the role of knowledge as a driver of technological development.
In addition, among the thematic areas of the 2026 edition, there will be the Talent Academy, created in collaboration with the training body Cisita Parma, which promotes dialogue between schools, training institutes and companies to encourage the meeting between young talents and the world of work. A place for discussion dedicated to skills, innovation and career guidance, designed to enhance collaboration between advanced training pathways and the production world and to foster the meeting between young talents and companies.
The cross-sector nature of the fields represented – from food and beverage, to the chemical and petrochemical industries, from pharmaceuticals and veterinary medicine to cosmetics, through to biotechnology, healthcare, diagnostics and research – makes Labotec an event capable of addressing different needs within a single highly specialised context. The range of technologies presented is also broad and integrated: analysis, control and monitoring instruments, automation, sample preparation, microscopy and spectrometry represent a complete range of solutions able to meet the needs of an increasingly advanced market.
The second edition of Labotec will take place at the same time as Cibus Tec, the international event dedicated to technologies for the food and beverage industry. This simultaneity will generate concrete synergies, expanding meeting opportunities for companies and professionals operating across industrial production, quality control, research, analysis and innovation, in areas where the integration between laboratories and production processes is becoming increasingly central.
Ghiaroni & C. S.r.l., Giorgio Bormac Srl and Anton Paar have already confirmed their support for the second edition of Labotec as Platinum Sponsors.
Admission is free of charge upon mandatory registration on the official website; further information on exhibitors, content, sectors involved and participation procedures is constantly updated and available at labotec.one.
