OMRON has introduced the new J1 inverter, a compact and cost-effective solution designed for entry-level applications where space, reliability, and price are key.
Targeted at systems like conveyors, mixers, small fans, pumps, and basic material handling in sectors such as Food & Beverage, general manufacturing, agriculture, and HVAC, the J1 delivers essential motor control features with an emphasis on performance and ease of use.
Despite its small size and competitive price, the J1 offers capabilities typically found in higher-end models. It supports:
-
Power ranges from 0.4 to 2.2 kW (200 V single-phase) and 0.4 to 3.7 kW (400 V three-phase)
-
V/f control, dynamic torque vector control, integrated PID regulation, and overload protection
-
Features like automatic deceleration, sleep mode for pump/fan applications, and slip compensation for stable torque at low speed
Its IP20-rated compact housing allows side-by-side mounting, minimizing panel space. Connectivity is provided via RS-485 Modbus, with both digital and analog I/O for flexible machine integration.
The J1 can be programmed via OMRON Sysmac Studio or the new, user-friendly J1 Editor, designed for quick setup and parameter adjustment. Certified for CE, UKCA, UL/cUL, EAC, and RoHS, the inverter is suitable for a wide range of indoor industrial environments.
