ITIB MACHINERY began developing its HP range of corrugators in 2018 with the FV200HP, followed by the smaller FV32HP in 2023. Building on the success of these models, nearly sixty FV200HP units installed worldwide, the company has expanded the range with the new FV400+HP, introduced at K 2025.
The FV400+HP is designed to cover a wide production range, from 90 mm OD up to 400 mm ID, including applications such as cable ducting, drainage and controlled mechanical ventilation. The “+” designation highlights its ability to exceed standard outer diameter limits, while also enabling in-line socketing through optional configurations.
One of its key advantages is compatibility with the same moulds and tools used on the FV200HP, ensuring high production flexibility and reduced tooling investment.
The machine integrates all the most advanced solutions developed by ITIB MACHINERY, including optimized mould path geometry for smooth carrier movement and reduced wear, extended forming channels for improved cooling efficiency, and individual mould cooling to ensure uniform pipe properties.
The corrugator is equipped with a controlled motor torque transmission system that protects the moulds in case of overload, automatically reversing the machine if necessary. Its open construction design ensures full visibility and accessibility of components, while the positioning of water-cooling hoses minimizes wear and maintenance.
Vacuum forming is positioned on the upper surface of the moulds to avoid contamination, supported by an inverter-controlled oil-sealed vacuum pump for energy efficiency. The vacuum bar is automatically adjustable according to mould size via the HMI.
Several advanced features are standard on the FV400+HP, including mould temperature control and fully motorized machine movements for precise alignment. Safety is ensured through a complete enclosure with interlocked access doors.
The system is complemented by a high-efficiency die-head for optimal melt flow and a stainless-steel cooling tank with integrated puller, available in multiple lengths. Downstream options allow for coiling or cutting depending on the final product.
