GEWISS presents I-CORD, the universal cable for charging electric vehicles designed using special technopolymers obtained from the recovery of nylon. A step forward towards truly green mobility.

JOINON, the GEWISS offer for Smart Mobility, expands itself with I- CORD , the cable for electric vehicles designed with a full sustainable approach: socket and plug are partially made of Renycle®, a range of special technopolymers obtained from the recycling of nylon, a high- value material with excellent characteristics of resistance and versatility, while each single component of the product can be individually disassembled and collected separately, to facilitate recovery and disposal operations along the entire supply chain.

The cable allows to recharge different types of electric vehicles and is available in both flat and spiral versions, for every need of use. Plug, socket, fixing cord and junction handle are designed and manufactured with a perfectly coherent style , giving harmony and functionality to the entire product. Furthermore, to make the charging experience even more unique, customized logos can be applied to the socket and plug upon customer request.

I-CORD is part of the JOINON ecosystem , the GEWISS offer for charging electric vehicles, which covers both the technological infrastructure of the product and its entire management (including technical assistance and maintenance). From the charging stations to the app for smartphones and tablets and the smart management of the charging units: a complete system that makes environmental sustainability a key competitive advantage.

Renycle® identifies the range of technopolymers for engineering use made with variable percentages of recovered polyamide both of post-industrial and post-consumer origin. Renycle® products are the result of a careful selection of incoming raw materials and an advanced mechanical characterization both from the point of view of mechanical, chemical, physical and electrical performance and in reference to the reduction of the environmental impact in comparison with products with 100% virgin polymer (LCA comparison).

The Renycle® brand belongs to RadiciGroup, a multinational company with approximately 3,000 employees, sales revenue of EUR 1,508 million in 2021 and a network of production and sales sites located throughout Europe, North America, South America and Asia.
