Rockwell Automation has announced the opening of its new Customer Experience Center (CEC) in Bologna, designed to help machine builders and end users across EMEA tackle today’s most pressing industrial challenges.

The new hub will support key sectors including packaging, material handling, process converting and heavy industries. According to the company’s latest global research among 500 industry leaders, 29% of OEMs cite inadequate technology as a barrier to achieving strategic goals, while workforce instability and unplanned downtime – costing an average of $92,000 per hour globally – remain critical concerns.

The Bologna center provides hands-on access to advanced automation, motion and mechatronics solutions, as well as AI applications, independent cart technology and dynamic digital twins. It features three dedicated areas: a Leadership Area for strategic collaboration, a Technology & Proof of Concept Area for live testing and validation, and a Competency Area focused on technical training and upskilling.
